Riesling
Wine
Poacher's Ridge Riesling is grown just outside Mount Barker in Great Southern. The fruit is handpicked early in the morning to keep the grapes in pristine condition.
Only free run juice and light pressings are used to make the wine. Kept cold, the juice is settled naturally – without filtration – until it is bright and clear. It is then racked and warmed to ambient temperature.
Fermentation takes place with a selected yeast strain over three weeks. Prior to bottling, the wine is stabilized, minimally fined and lightly filtered.
Pale lemon, Poacher's Ridge Riesling has a pure citrus core with zippy structure and a long finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
